Africa in Fact wins Silver at 2025 PRISM Awards for Special Edition on the International Anti-Corruption Court
JOHANNESBURG, 22 October 2025: Good Governance Africa’s (GGA) flagship journal, Africa in Fact, has won Silver at the 2025 PRISM Awards in the B2B Publishing: Internal Communications/PR category for its May 2025 special international edition, titled ‘The Case for an International Anti-Corruption Court (IACCourt)’.
This accolade is the highest honour in the category for 2025. It recognises GGA as a leading voice in governance communication across Africa and highlights Africa in Fact’s outstanding contribution to promoting ethical governance, transparency, and accountability through evidence-based journalism and thought leadership. It also reaffirms GGA’s growing role in shaping Africa’s voice within the global governance arena.
Anchored in Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), the IACCourt edition brings together 19 articles from 13 countries, offering an in-depth analysis of grand corruption and the international accountability mechanisms required to end impunity. Produced in collaboration with Integrity Initiatives International (III), the global NGO spearheading the campaign to establish the IACCourt, the edition highlights how cross-sector partnerships can help enforce the rule of law and recover stolen assets across borders.
Grand corruption continues to erode public institutions, weaken justice systems, and inhibit inclusive development. The IACCourt special edition demonstrates how strategic communication and rigorous journalism can transform complex governance issues into actionable reform agendas.
“This award is a milestone for GGA’s publishing and research teams, who continue to demonstrate how rigorous journalism and cross-sector collaboration can inform policy, inspire reform, and strengthen democracy across Africa. The recognition is not only a testament to editorial excellence but to the growing influence of African voices in shaping the global governance agenda. Through Africa in Fact, we are driving the kind of evidence-based dialogue that strengthens institutions, builds citizen trust, and improves Africa’s attractiveness to responsible investors,” said Robert Rose, Founder of GGA.
“This special edition reflects our commitment to making complex governance issues accessible and actionable. By centring African legal scholarship and lived realities, we contribute to a stronger rule-of-law environment across the continent. This recognition underscores the power of rigorous editorial work in advancing meaningful accountability reform,” said Susan Russell, Editor of Africa in Fact.
