GOOD GOVERNANCE AFRICA (GGA) DISTANCES ITSELF FROM UNAUTHORISED PARTISAN PUBLICATION
Good Governance Africa (GGA) has become aware of an article circulating online titled “4 Crucial Reasons Why Nigerians Should Strongly Entrust Their Vote With Mr Peter Obi in the forthcoming 2027 Presidential Election… by Good Governance Africa (GGA)”.
We state categorically, unequivocally, and without reservation that Good Governance Africa did not author, publish, commission, endorse, or approve this article.
GGA is a strictly non-partisan, independent research and advocacy organisation committed to strengthening governance, accountability, rule of law, and democratic institutions across Africa. We do not endorse political candidates, participate in partisan campaigns, or promote electoral preferences under any circumstances.
The publication and website in question are a clear misrepresentation and an unauthorised use of our name and institutional identity. It does not reflect our editorial standards, research methodology, policy positions, or organisational voice. Any attempt to attribute partisan political advocacy to GGA is false, misleading, and potentially defamatory.
For the avoidance of doubt, Good Governance Africa’s only official website is: www.gga.org. Any material not published on this website or shared through our verified official communication channels should not be attributed to our organisation.
We are currently reviewing the circumstances surrounding this unauthorised use of our name and will take all necessary steps to safeguard the organisation’s integrity and reputation. We urge the public, partners, stakeholders, and members of the media to disregard the said publication and to rely exclusively on information obtained from our official platforms.

Dr Ola Bello
Executive Director, Good Governance Africa (GGA-Nigeria)
Oladiran (Ola) Bello obtained both his MPhil and PhD degrees in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and also holds a First Class BSc degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He has worked for organisations including the United Nations (New York) and Management Systems International (Washington DC), Merchant International Group (London) and Arthur Andersen (later KPMG). Dr Ola Bello has more than 10 years of experience in research and policy advisory, including on governance and extractive sector reform; sustainable development; and international development cooperation (including in EU-Africa relations). He spent three years with FRIDE (Spain) managing a donor-funded programme on the EU’s role in managing fragility and resource governance in select African countries. In 2012-2015, he was Head, Governance of Africa’s Resource Programme (GARP) at the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) and also functioned as head of SAIIA’s Cape Town office. Ola is spearheading GGA's technical support to Nigerian reform, including delivering ethics training for senior Nigerian judicial officers and change-makers (2017-2019). He's also working to expand GGA's role as in-country resource centre for multilateral consultative missions to Nigeria's ministries and parastatals. These missions include the UNECA/AU mineral sector governance team.
